Four hundred and forty problems, in the order the course actually needs them, with a full written solution for every single one. Not answers — solutions, showing the reasoning a grader is paid to look for alongside the algebra.

It is a companion to the AP Physics 1 review course, and it is also completely usable on its own. Nothing in it assumes you bought anything else.

How it is organised

Seven chapters matching the seven units of the course, and inside each chapter the problems climb in three deliberate tiers rather than being shuffled.

1. Tier one: single-concept problems, one step, no disguise. The point is fluency, not challenge

2. Tier two: two concepts combined, the level the exam actually sets

3. Tier three: the questions that require you to notice something before you can start

Every chapter closes with twelve mixed problems that do not tell you which tier or which concept they belong to, because on the day nothing will.

The written-argument section

Forty paragraph-length reasoning prompts, which is roughly a third of what the exam asks for and the part almost no problem book covers. Each model answer is annotated in the margin to show which sentence earns which rubric point.

The physical thing

• Lay-flat sewn binding, so it stays open on a desk without a hand on it

• Uncoated paper that takes pencil and does not glare under a lamp

• Solutions in the back half, so you cannot see one by accident while reading the question

The tier three problems were miserable for about a month and then something clicked. By April the exam questions felt like tier two.
