Two weeks, ten sessions, twenty students, three weeks before the exam. This is not a course. It is the last useful thing you can do.
Everything is chosen by return on time invested. There is content in AP Biology that has never appeared on a free-response question, and in April your time is worth more than completeness.
Days 1–2: diagnostic paper, marked and analysed, producing a ranked weakness list per student
Days 3–6: the four highest-yield content areas for the group, taught as data interpretation rather than as recall
Days 7–8: the calculation set — water potential, chi-square, Hardy-Weinberg, standard error — drilled to automaticity
Day 9: a full timed paper under exam conditions
Day 10: free-response structure, the misconception list, and the plan for the final 72 hours
I have kept a record of every free-response topic the exam has set since 2013. Some have appeared nine times. Some have never appeared at all. In April that document is worth more than the textbook, and it is the first thing handed out on day one.
This batch does not collect student reviews. A two-week sprint ends three weeks before the exam, which means every review would be written by someone who does not yet know their score — either optimistic or anxious, and in both cases about their nerves rather than about the teaching. The full AP Biology review course carries reviews from students who have their results.
Anyone who has not finished the syllabus. The sprint moves at roughly a unit a session and will leave you behind, and you will have paid for the experience of watching it happen. If units remain uncovered in April, the self-paced review course is the honest recommendation, even though it is the cheaper one.
This cohort has finished. The sprint runs every April; enrolment for the next one opens in early March and the twenty seats usually go within a fortnight.
